Ebony Maw is a fictional character portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He first appeared in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and served as one of Thanos's most loyal and formidable lieutenants, a member of the Black Order.

Maw possesses no superhuman strength but is characterized by his exceptional intelligence, cunning, and powerful telekinetic abilities. He demonstrates the power to manipulate objects and people with his mind, often using these powers to torture and control others. He often acted as a strategist and negotiator for Thanos.

In Avengers: Infinity War, Ebony Maw, along with Cull Obsidian, is sent to Earth to retrieve the Time Stone from Doctor Strange. Maw is eventually defeated and killed in space by Iron Man and Spider-Man after they formulate a plan to launch him into the vacuum of space.
